To thank our readers, we have carefully absorbed their feedback and organized the author to revise the book in detail. The revision work mainly focuses on the following aspects:
In terms of content, this edition retains the style of the original version, adhering to the principles of rigorous theory, clear logic, and explicit problem-solving processes. Based on the feedback provided by readers, we have corrected individual errors and shortcomings in the original book, adjusted some exercises, and carefully reviewed the solutions to strive for a fresher content, more reasonable structure, and more thorough and rigorous answers.
In terms of system, while largely following the original book's system, we have made some local adjustments. The expression of formulas and the representation of symbols have been further standardized, and the illustrations have become more detailed and precise. This edition has changed the "Content Summary" section of the original book to "Key Points Summary," making the content of each chapter more detailed and complete. We have also added two modules: "Analysis of Typical Questions" and "Real Exam Questions." The "Analysis of Typical Questions" summarizes the common exam questions in this chapter, while the "Real Exam Questions" section selects final exam questions from key science and engineering colleges and postgraduate entrance examination questions, helping students more deeply master the knowledge of each chapter and prepare for exams.
To help students achieve better results in their course exams and understand the exam formats, we have included in the accompanying booklet the must-examine questions for each chapter and four final exam questions from key science and engineering colleges for self-assessment. We hope that the revised book can better serve our readers.
