Features: The Journal of Civil and Commercial Law of China and Japan is a series of collected essays edited by the China-Japan Civil and Commercial Law Research Association, aiming to provide a platform for exchange between the academic and legal practice communities of civil and commercial law in China and Japan. The China-Japan Civil and Commercial Law Research Association is a loose-knit academic organization and an external academic group affiliated with the Private Law Center of the Institute of Law, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The purpose of the association is: to broadly connect legal and legal practice professionals from China and Japan, and to promote academic exchange between the civil and commercial law communities of the two countries through comparative studies on various issues in the fields of law, legislation, and judicial practice in the civil and commercial law of China and Japan. It is hoped that new achievements in the study of Japanese civil and commercial law and legal practice will be introduced to China in a timely and accurate manner, thereby providing the necessary foundation for the drafting of China's Civil Code and Japan's ongoing civil code revision.
