Journal of East China Law (Volume 1, 2002)

Author: East China University of Political Science and Law Press
Publishing House:
Publishing Date: 2002-11-01
Features: Over the past two decades, my academic pursuits have primarily focused on the history of law, supplemented by the history of legal systems. Reflecting on the journey of both China and the world, I have drawn three main conclusions: First, major transformations necessitate great legal scholars. I sincerely hope that the East China Law Review can contribute a small platform for our country to cultivate such great legal scholars. Second, significant social and cultural changes must be led by the law. We are fortunate to live in this era, and I wish for the East China Law Review to become a small garden for legal debate and research. Third, major transitions and the flourishing of the rule of law. I hope the East China Law Review can make a small contribution to the advancement of the rule of law in our country! These wishes can only be realized as one collective aspiration—that is, to hope that scholars at home and abroad, as well as colleagues in the legal field, will contribute generously to the East China Law Review, enabling its continuous improvement! For the prosperity of China's rule of law! For the advancement of world jurisprudence!—He Qinhua, President of East China University of Political Science and Law
