Features: Company form, having developed over hundreds of years, has become an important form of enterprise and is widely adopted by countries around the world, playing a significant role in socio-economic activities. In the evolution of companies, they have gradually become integrated with the law and have grown increasingly closely linked. Many experiences of companies have merged with specific legal forms, forming a series of legal norms. This has transformed the company form into a legally defined one, the company system into a legally established one, and company law into the fundamental law that establishes this form and embodies this system. In 1992 and 1993, while working on drafting the company law, we organized the translation of the latest versions of company laws from countries such as the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and Japan, which were jointly compiled and published by the Law Press. The purpose of the translation, in addition to legislative needs, was also to meet the requirements of foreign economic and trade development and domestic research. Five years later, studying foreign company laws remains a topic for legislative work, and due to the expansion of foreign economic and trade relations, there is an even greater need to understand the current company legal systems abroad. Meanwhile, domestic company law research has flourished in recent years, presenting a promising scene, and it is also necessary to provide foreign materials. Therefore, we have either translated the latest versions of company laws from some countries, supplemented the translations, or removed provisions that have been abolished from the original translations. Additionally, we have translated laws from some other countries. For the convenience of readers, this edition is published in separate volumes by country.
