Features: This book introduces the content of international trade law in seven parts according to the characteristics of international trade research, primarily based on the WTO legal system. Part I is the economic theory of international trade law. The system of international trade law gradually formed to regulate international trade as the economic theory of international trade developed, with the WTO legal system being its most representative. Part II is organizational law, mainly introducing the organizational law of the most important international trade organization today—the WTO. Through the WTO organizational law, it demonstrates the structure, decision-making mechanisms, and daily operational mechanisms of international trade organizations, covering the most basic organizational law content and models of international trade organizations. Part III is the dispute settlement mechanism. This is the procedural law content that every legal system includes. Based on introducing the methodology of international dispute settlement mechanisms, this part provides a detailed introduction to the WTO's dispute settlement mechanism. Part IV is the substantive law content of traditional international trade—goods trade—encompassing the most fundamental and also the three cornerstones of the WTO: non-discrimination, tariff reductions, and the prohibition of quantitative restrictions. Part V is trade remedies. The main trade remedy methods in international trade law include three types: anti-dumping measures, anti-subsidy measures, and safeguard measures. Parts VI and VII are the analysis of legal and case studies on the substantive law provisions in two new areas of international trade—the intellectual property rights related to trade and the services trade.
