Features: The commonality of the objects of adjustment by the Maritime Code provides the possibility for one country to transplant and learn from the legal systems and legislative experiences of other countries. Currently, the "Maritime Code of the People's Republic of China" is in the preparation stage for revision. To enable the revised version to draw on the strengths of various countries and regions and absorb the essence of relevant legal systems, the Research Team of Dalian Maritime University on "Revision of the Maritime Code of the People's Republic of China" has collected, organized, and translated the maritime codes of major shipping countries (regions). As one of the outcomes of this project, the content has been compiled and compiled into a book. Considering that foreign maritime codes not only have important reference value for legislative work but also have considerable practical value for teaching, research, and judicial practices in maritime law, the research team decided to publish this compilation. Building on the preliminary work, the team further reviewed and organized the existing literature and collected some newly representative maritime codes from representative countries (regions), making the content of this compilation richer and the types of codes more comprehensive. In short, this book basically includes representative maritime and maritime laws from major shipping countries in the common law and civil law systems. It is believed that the publication of this book will contribute to the prosperity of maritime law in our country and the legislative and judicial work.
