Features: "An Analysis of the Model Templates for Village Self-Governance in China" states the following: , since most of the "model templates" in this book are collected from economically developed suburban rural areas in Beijing, we hope readers, when referring to these "templates," will try to eliminate the factors of developed economy and the huge figures, and focus on how the village affairs management is implemented: through which procedures, measures are taken, what results are achieved, and how to the greatest extent possible reflect the will of all villagers. What we advocate is how the Village Committee, under the system of village self-governance, optimizes and integrates the resources of the village, and maximizes their utilization. What we strive to find and explore is actually a "methodology," an attitude, that is, to use resources to accomplish major tasks, use small resources to handle minor tasks, and try to accomplish major tasks as much as possible. Second, the research was conducted in a hasty manner with a limited scope, and one of the collected model templates, its "representativeness," is necessarily limited. It is by no means excluded that there exist more advanced and mature models of village self-governance across the country. Therefore, in this sense, the "model templates" serve as a starting point to inspire further discussion. We hope readers will use these model templates as a foundation, reference, for learning, improvement, and seek more standardized, scientific, systematic, and comprehensive models of village self-governance.
