Features: The legal profession refers to a professional community formed by individuals who have undergone specialized training in law and possess proficient legal skills and ethics. Its members are known as "legal people," and we refer to experienced legal professionals as "legal scholars." The Rule of Law by Legal Professionals—Chinese Reflections on the Legal Profession is an exploratory monograph on the Chinese legal profession. Based on the aforementioned two aspects, the book conducts research from the perspective of China's rule of law, with the legal profession as its central focus. It employs methods from legal theory, comparative law, and legal sociology to examine the issue of the legal profession community, which serves as another driving force behind China's rule of law. This book is the final outcome of the Ministry of Education's planned project "Research on the Legal Profession and Legal Community" and the Ministry of Justice's key project "The Construction of the Legal Profession and Rule of Law." It has been supported by the Ministry of Education's planned fund, the Ministry of Justice's project fund, and the Institute of Constitutional and Comparative Law at Zhejiang University (a provincial key discipline in Constitutional and Administrative Law). The book is divided into four parts: The Rule of Law by Legal Professionals and Professional Ethics, The Professionalization of Judges, Lawyer Ethics and Political Participation, and Legal Education.
