What should I do if my blood cell count is a bit low?

Patient's question:

My child always tells me that he has been feeling unwell recently. I took him to the hospital for a check-up, and it was found that his blood cell count is low. The doctor said that this condition requires treatment. How should I handle a child with low blood cell count?

Doctor's answer:

Neutrophil response to inflammation, lymphocyte response to viral infection. However, we still primarily refer to white blood cells, hemoglobin, and platelets. Red blood cells are normal at 3.5-5.5, so it's best to increase oral intake of vegetables and fruits if they are slightly low. This condition is usually anemia, but I personally recommend a follow-up check at the hospital because some blood diseases can also cause low red blood cell counts. It is recommended that you follow the doctor's advice for treatment.
