Features: This book takes urban community construction as its starting point, with sociological methods and criminal law theory as the main framework, supplemented by theories and methods from political science, public security studies, criminology, systems science, and other fields to integrate theoretical thinking. It focuses on community organization, services, safety construction, community policing, and community corrections to study the community crime prevention system. We believe that community organization, services, and cultural construction are the integration of fundamental and targeted measures for community governance. Through comprehensive community development, various criminogenic factors within the community can be eliminated or reduced. Community policing prioritizes situational crime prevention, employing strong formal or informal social control functions when community development cannot fully eliminate criminogenic factors, further reducing the likelihood of crime. Community corrections, on the other hand, involves the community actively utilizing its own resources and cooperating with specialized agencies to rehabilitate offenders and provide social protection for released prisoners, enabling successful reintegration into society. This system incorporates the social protection of released prisoners and the resettlement and assistance of convicts, aiming to achieve coordinated functionality from multiple perspectives to facilitate the reintegration of offenders as much as possible.
