Features: In mid-2005, in response to the need for in-depth research on some legal theory issues in the process of building a harmonious society and rule of law, the Guangxi Law Society held consultations with relevant units to discuss topics and organized the 2005 Annual Meeting of the Guangxi Law Society's Jurisprudence Research Association, themed "Harmonious Society and Rule of Law Progress," which was hosted by the School of Law and Economics of Guangxi Normal University in Guilin by the end of September 2005. Over 10 representatives from 10 law schools across the region, as well as from the Higher People's Courts, Higher People's Procuratorates, and the Public Security Department, attended the meeting, where lively discussions and exchanges of views took place. Nearly 30 papers were submitted for the meeting, with some of the remaining papers included in the collection "Harmonious Society and Rule of Law Progress." In November 2005, in light of the upcoming amendments to the country's three major litigation laws, the Guangxi Law Society regarded this as a good opportunity to promote the development of litigation law research in Guangxi. Therefore, the 2005 Annual Meeting of the Guangxi Law Society's Litigation Law Research Association was held in Qinzhou City, hosted by the Qinzhou Intermediate People's Court. A total of 85 representatives attended the meeting, and 56 papers were submitted, significantly exceeding the scale, level of representatives, and number of papers received in previous years. The representatives engaged in discussions on topics such as "Research on the Public Interest Litigation System," "Building a Harmonious Society and Establishing a Fast-Track Mechanism for Civil Litigation," "Criminal Litigation Concepts and Reform of the Trial System," "Criminal Harmonious Society and Establishment of Civil Litigation Arbitration Mechanism," "Criminal Litigation Concepts and Trial System," "Criminal Litigation Concepts and Procuratorial System Reform," "Administrative Litigation Trial System Reform," and "Research on Administrative Procuratorial Supervision and Administrative Public Interest Litigation Rights." The representatives eagerly raised their hands to speak and debated with the keynote speakers. The meeting also featured an "Expert Comment Section" for on-the-spot comments, making the discussions highly active, with substantial exchanges of research information and mutual inspiration in academic ideas. This paper collection was compiled by the staff of the Guangxi Law Society. In addition to standardizing the writing style, due to space limitations, some papers were shortened in both content and length.
