How to treat phimosis adhesion

Patient's question:

How to treat phimosis adhesion? It has been treated before, but the effect is not very good. What should the patient do?

Doctor's answer:

The surgical method can be used for treatment. After disinfection, 2% lidocaine is used for anesthesia. The foreskin orifice is dilated until it can be retracted. If the adhesion is severe, a ball-tipped probe can be used to separate it until the foreskin is fully retracted, exposing the glans and frenulum. Underlying smegma or calculus is then removed, followed by rinsing with normal saline. A 1‰ chlorhexidine solution is used for disinfection. A lubricating and analgesic ointment is applied to the foreskin cavity to prevent re-adhesion, and the foreskin is then repositioned.
