Masked City

Author: Ning Ken
Publisher:
Publication Date: 2001-04-01
Features: For the first time, pure literary awards favor online literature. As the best long of the 2nd Lao She Literature Prize, this book caused a sensation when it was serialized online, even encountering piracy before its official release. Author Ning Ken became a highly popular online writer as a result. The work features a foggy reality, diverse geographical lives such as Beijing, Qinling Mountains, Tibet, and Shenzhen, as well as primal art, poetry, and underground music. It is called "a unprecedented online alternative novel."
Content of the book: A long and contemplative life is a great adventure, sometimes even the apex experienced by a family or a race, and an answer to the distant and enigmatic process of the latter, marked by those errors, successes, truths, and sins. At seventeen, Ma Ge views everything with a ridiculous Sherlock Holmes-like skepticism, even doubting whether his father is his biological father.
