Features: The issue of juvenile delinquency is a global problem, even being listed as the world's third major social evil after drug trafficking and environmental pollution. In line with the important directives of the Central Committee and leaders of the Ministry, the Research Office of the Ministry of Public Security has taken China's juvenile delinquency issue as a key research topic. Combining the nationwide "drill and training" activities in public security organs, the office organized relevant parties and personnel to conduct serious investigations and specialized research. In accordance with the Ministry's requirements, public security organs in various regions organized dedicated forces to carry out in-depth research and investigation on the nature, characteristics, causes, and preventive measures of juvenile delinquency, and submitted special research reports. At the same time, the Research Office of the Ministry of Public Security referred to a large number of relevant theoretical research results and conducted an in-depth analysis of China's juvenile delinquency issue. Based on fully absorbing the research findings from various public security organs, this book, "Research on Contemporary China's Juvenile Delinquency Issue," was compiled. The book is divided into two volumes: the first volume includes the general report on specialized research and the separate reports on specialized research from various regions, while the second volume collects relevant laws and regulations at home and abroad and some typical cases. The purpose of compiling this book is mainly to provide a reference platform for the public security and legal systems, relevant departments, and experts and scholars to study the issue of contemporary China's juvenile delinquency.
