Features: With the continuous deepening of China's reform and opening-up and the gradual establishment of a market economy system, higher education facing the 21st century is ushering in unprecedented development opportunities. Especially with the implementation of the Party and government's western development strategy, universities located in western regions are now facing new requirements in terms of the scale, quality, and efficiency of their operations. In the process of educational reform and teaching construction, textbook development work is crucial—it serves as an important carrier for summarizing teaching achievements and a window showcasing the characteristics of university operations. Therefore, after approval by the textbook review committee of our institution, a series of textbooks reflecting the disciplinary strengths and operational characteristics of our university will be compiled and reviewed during the "11th Five-Year Plan" period. The first batch of approved textbooks includes: "Insurance Law," "Foreign Criminal Procedure Law," "Criminal Policy," "General Principles of Criminal Investigation," "Investigation of Criminal Cases," "Document Examination," "Police Training Curriculum," "Introduction to Enterprises," "Human Resource Management," and 10 others. As our institution's teaching reform work continues to deepen, other textbooks will be successively reviewed and published. Some of the first batch of approved and published textbooks are currently unavailable in the domestic market for the same discipline, while others, although published, are outdated or cannot be used in teaching due to revised relevant laws. Therefore, the textbooks approved and published this time emphasize the absorption of cutting-edge theories in the development of this discipline while also focusing on the explanation of basic knowledge, featuring systematicity and novelty, and are suitable for undergraduate students or adult students in adult education programs.
