Patient's question:
What tests need to be done for prostatic cysts? What causes prostatic cysts, is it lifestyle or external influences? How are prostatic cysts treated? How to regulate them? What tests need to be done for prostatic cysts?Doctor's answer:
1. Cystoscopy examination: Prostate cysts are often seen as semi-circular or pedunculated, translucent masses with a diameter of 1-2 cm, located weakly at the neck of the bladder. Most of them are acquired cysts.2. CT examination: Large prostate cysts and Müllerian duct cysts are located in the posterior midline of the prostate, presenting as round, well-defined cystic lesions with water-like density.
3. X-ray examination:
(1) Intravenous urogram: Can reveal urinary tract abnormalities, such as renal agenesis.
(2) Urethrogram: Does not show any manifestations because the cysts are not connected to the urethra, with no abnormalities observed.
4. B-mode magnetic resonance imaging: Can detect round or oval hyperechoic areas in the prostate region with smooth inner walls, clear margins, and no internal echoes. Transrectal magnetic resonance imaging shows the prostate extending posteriorly and superiorly, with clear margins and no echo-free areas.
