Where can I find hope for treating varicocele?

Patient's question:

Where is the best place to treat varicocele? Doctor, I would like to ask, I have no sperm, bilateral varicocele, small testicles, and FSH is high by 5 units. I haven't had a biopsy yet. Do you have any hope for treatment? Where is it better to treat in Shandong? Please give guidance and help from the doctor. Thank you.

Doctor's answer:

Varicocele, due to blood stasis in the spermatic veins, can lead to an increase in scrotal temperature, causing the testicular temperature to drop by 1℃ to 2℃. Persistent long-term elevation in temperature can affect sperm production in the testes, resulting in azoospermia and oligozoospermia. The epididymis also facilitates sperm maturation. It is more common in young and middle-aged adults. The incidence of left varicocele is higher. Individuals with asymptomatic or mild symptoms can wear elastic pants or use a scrotal support band. Men with severe symptoms and infertility due to varicocele accompanied by sperm abnormalities should undergo surgical treatment. Currently, surgical treatment is the most direct approach.
