How can the condition of semen not liquefying be treated to be effective?

Patient's question:

I have been married to my wife for many years, and we have never used any form of contraception, but we have never been able to conceive. After checking at the hospital, I learned about it. Please ask how to treat semen liquefaction and what treatment methods are effective.

Doctor's answer:

Ejaculate does not liquefy commonly due to conditions such as seminal vesiculitis and prostatitis, which result in insufficient secretion of fibrinolytic enzymes from the prostate; deficiencies in trace elements (such as magnesium, zinc, etc.); or congenital absence of the prostate. It is generally believed that the secretions from the prostate and seminal vesicles contribute to the coagulation and liquefaction processes of semen. The coagulation factor produced by the seminal vesicles causes semen to coagulate, while the liquefaction factors produced by the prostate, such as protease and fibrinolytic enzymes, liquefy the semen. Once inflammation occurs in the seminal vesicles or prostate again, it can disrupt the secretion of these factors, leading to an increase in coagulation factors or liquefaction factors, thereby causing the condition of semen non-liquefaction.
