Features: "Should I publish a collection?" Up to now, I don’t know how many editors have come to me asking about this. However, because creating one takes a lot of time, and I’ve never had the free time, it’s always been left unfinished. This time, SoftBank’s more practical plan to publish a personal art collection has finally come to fruition. Initially, I planned to create an art collection of the animations I had participated in, and arrange the works by decade according to my preferences, forming a kind of timeline of my own works. However, during the process of collecting and organizing the works, considering the limitations and quantity, I realized that I could only create a summary of each work in the end. Thus, the plan quickly shifted to publishing an art collection focused on a specific animation. And so, this art collection centered around Cowboy Bebop was born. Even within the same animation, the style and feel can differ from beginning to end. This diversity is inspired by the surrounding environment during the creative process and is also a necessary flexibility for animators. The works of Cowboy Bebop this time are mostly arranged in chronological order, which made me actually feel the changes in my art style. I somewhat arbitrarily arranged the works in this order, and now it seems that this is also one of the charms of this work. Of course, this also the support of the many fans who have always supported this work.
