Features: This book starts from the modern concept of computer networks and is based on the advanced educational philosophy of learning from practice, learning from research and development, and learning from modern information resources. It aims to improve students' engineering practice skills, application development skills, and simulation experiment analysis skills. The book categorizes the experiments and practices of computer networks into three main parts: engineering internships, development practices, and simulation analysis research. Each part is meticulously designed with corresponding experiments or practical activities. The entire book includes 18 experiments and practices, covering almost all the requirements of computer network practical training, from networking, device configuration, data capture, and network monitoring to protocol programming at each layer, as well as using NS-2 simulation.
The book advocates openness and introduces a brand-new concept of experimental and practical teaching. Each experiment and practice is divided into four stages: preparation, reservation, implementation, and discussion. According to the characteristics of computer courses, the book suggests focusing the evaluation on the preparation and post-experiment discussion. It also encourages students to develop their own experiments and assignments, fostering creativity and proactive learning.
The experiments and practices selected in this book are suitable as teaching materials for computer science, information security, information management, other electronic, and automation control-related majors in higher education institutions. They are also ideal for computer network enthusiasts and professionals as reference materials. The book can be used independently or paired with any classroom textbook.
