Features: This book is a companion experimental textbook for "Embedded System Design and Practical Development Based on ARM Microprocessor and μC/OS-II Real-Time Operating System." It focuses on the currently most popular ARM embedded microprocessor and μC/OS-II real-time operating system, adopting a case-based teaching approach. Through the process of constructing a complete embedded system development platform, it provides a detailed analysis of embedded system hardware and software design methods from an applied perspective. The book is divided into three main parts:
(1) Basic Development Cases: This section provides a detailed introduction to the setup and usage of the SDT2.5 and ADS1.2 embedded development environments, including ARM assembly programming and C language design, as well as hardware interface design based on ARM and serial ports, keyboards, A/D, D/A, LCD, touch screens, etc.
(2) Core and μC/OS-II-Based Development Cases: This section introduces embedded system low-level and application-level development experiments, such as BootLoader, drivers, μC/OS-II porting on ARM, and μC/OS-II-based application design.
(3) Comprehensive Applications and Extensions: This section presents comprehensive experimental cases like electronic drawing boards and multi-channel data acquisition simulations, as well as extended application cases such as embedded system graphical interface design based on MiniGUI, GPS and GPRS applications, and ARM-based FPGA design.
Most of the experimental cases in this book have been applied in the experimental teaching of embedded system courses in universities such as the Software College of Tsinghua University, the Software College of Beihang University, the Software College of Nankai University, and the Computer Science College of Shanghai University of Technology since the fall of 2002. The source code for most of the embedded experimental cases in this book is included on the accompanying CD-ROM.
This book can serve as a textbook for embedded system courses in computer science and software engineering programs at universities. It is also suitable as a foundational course textbook for junior and senior students in electrical engineering, industrial automation, instrumentation and electromechanical engineering programs, as well as an elective textbook for graduate students. Additionally, it can be used as a reference book for engineers and technicians engaged in embedded technology-related work.
