How should one treat retrograde ejaculation?

Patient's question:

At critical moments, not climaxing means I have premature ejaculation? I'm really puzzled. Every time my wife climaxes, I still don't climax, making some of our sexual lives quite unpleasant. My wife has also grown colder towards me. Is this a case of anejaculation?

Doctor's answer:

Ejaculatory dysfunction is medically classified into two major categories: functional ejaculatory dysfunction and organic ejaculatory dysfunction. Functional ejaculatory dysfunction accounts for approximately 90% of all cases. Factors such as excessive excitement or tension, depression, stress, overexertion, and marital discord can all lead to this condition. Organic ejaculatory dysfunction is relatively rare. It includes neurological inflammation, endocrine inflammation, vascular factors, and urogenital perinatal organic inflammation, such as urethritis, prostatitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia, epididymitis, varicocele, medication effects, phimosis, and excessive masturbation. Therefore, if a man experiences ejaculatory dysfunction, he should seek medical attention promptly for a thorough examination and then receive symptomatic treatment based on the underlying cause.
