How should prostatic cysts be treated effectively?

Patient's question:

How should prostatic cysts be treated? How should prostatic cysts be treated? How should prostatic cysts be treated? I want the doctor to help me clarify this. Thank you for the question mentioned above!

Doctor's answer:

Prostatic cysts are cystic changes that occur again due to congenital or acquired reasons in the prostate gland. Congenital cysts are due to incomplete reflux of the Wolffian ducts, fusing at the midline and forming a deep diverticulum or cyst below the bladder, opening posterior to the prostatic urethra. Acquired cysts are caused by fibrous prostate tissue leading to incomplete or intermittent obstruction of the acini, gradually thickening the acinar epithelium, ultimately resulting in retention cysts that can be located anywhere within the prostate or weakly extending to the bladder neck, with a diameter of 1-2 cm. Prostatic cysts can be secondarily infected with stones, and larger cysts may compress the urethra, causing urinary difficulties. Common symptoms include urgency, frequency, difficulty urinating, thin urine stream, and urinary retention.
