What are the good methods for treating prostatitis?

Patient's question:

Prostatitis for many years, and there is a 2 cm cyst in the ultrasound. Frequent urination, what should I do? Feel very uncomfortable in the private area, that feeling can't be described, it affects work and life very much, very annoyed

Doctor's answer:

Hello! Do you have frequent urination, urgency, or pain during urination? Based on your description, it is likely that prostatic cysts are caused by prostatitis. You may have chronic prostatitis due to inadequate treatment of acute prostatitis.
Guidelines and suggestions: Prostatitis can be either bacterial or non-bacterial. Therefore, when treating prostatitis, it is essential to diagnose which type it is. The treatment for prostatitis requires effective antibiotics, usually lasting 3-4 courses. After treatment, check the prostatic fluid to ensure it returns to normal. If it is normal, additional treatment for one week may be needed to stabilize the condition.
Once prostatitis is fully cured, the cysts may completely resolve. Small cysts generally do not require treatment. Large cysts can be treated surgically. Personally, I do not recommend surgical treatment.
