Flash MX 2004 is a multimedia production tool released by Macromedia. In terms of software versions, the new version of Flash MX provides more ActionScript elements that comply with the ECMA standard and replaces the ActionScript elements from older versions (Flash 6 or earlier) that are no longer recommended. However, the Flash Player still supports these discouraged elements.
Given this, we have licensed the copyright of Flash MX 2004 ActionScript Syntax Dictionary. To facilitate reader learning, nearly every command is accompanied by examples. Additionally, the author has specifically broken down the examples into statement examples and application examples. First, readers learn the usage of commands through statement examples, then the application of syntax is demonstrated with actual program content, and finally, illustrations are provided to present the results of the examples, allowing readers to fully grasp the essence of the syntax.
Furthermore, the accompanying CD-ROM includes the book's example files as well as the e-books for chapters 44–52, for readers to refer to at their own discretion.
