Hello:Treatment of Acute Bacterial Prostatitis: Rest in bed with intravenous fluids, digest calories, drink plenty of water, promote blood circulation, relieve spasms, and reduce fever. If there is difficulty urinating, avoid urethral catheterization as much as possible; if necessary, perform suprapubic cystostomy.
Antibiotics: Trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole 800mg, taken twice daily. Alternatively, select a primary drug from erythromycin, cephalosporins, tetracycline, ampicillin, or sulfonamide drugs. If the culture is identified as Gram-negative bacterial infection, use the sulfonamide drugs mentioned above as the primary treatment.
