How is prostate calcification treated

Patient's question:

Gender: Male, I was diagnosed with prostate disease a while ago. How should calcification of the prostate be treated?

Doctor's answer:

Prostatic calcifications cannot completely disappear, and there is no need to strive for their complete disappearance. As long as they are within a certain range, they will never have any impact on the body. Once prostatitis improves, prostatic calcifications become a hiding place for bacteria, which is also why chronic prostatitis tends to recur repeatedly and is difficult to treat. Fibrosis does not require treatment.
Prostatic calcifications may be related to stones, but apart from stones, other conditions such as prostatic tuberculosis, recurrent prostate damage, parasitic eggs, and calcified tumors can also lead to prostatic calcifications.
