Features: Transform Quality Certification from a "Cost Center" to a "Profit Center"! In this book, the world's two leading quality practitioners provide a practical, business-centric implementation guide for ISO9001:2000. This book not only discusses compliance but also discusses how to use ISO9001:2000 to support key strategic plans—making ISO9001:2000 a "Profit Center" rather than a "Cost Center." The book covers all aspects of ISO9001:2000, primarily including:
The new process model of ISO9001:2000
New, effective internal audit techniques
How to select a certification body that meets the organization's requirements
How to reflect the requirements of the new standard through a customer-centric focus and management involvement
Best practices for measuring results
Throughout the book, Keith Brewer demonstrates to readers how Dell's Asset Recovery Business (ARB) used ISO9001:2000 to establish a fully integrated business management system—the system uses a continuous improvement model to drive excellent operations and profitability. The book provides a comprehensive introduction to the implementation of ISO9001:2000, leveraging it to create new paradigms that combine quality improvement and process improvement, and sharing these experiences with everyone in the value delivery system.
The book features a unique case study—the Asset Recovery Business (ARB) of Dell Computer Company—illustrating how a company can advance its quality management system from compliance to performance improvement. It provides clear evidence that a quality management system based on ISO9001 can become a system for continuous improvement of business processes, replacing traditional quality management methods.
This book is suitable for organizations and individuals implementing ISO9001:2000, as well as readers interested in quality management systems.
