Features: Emergency Nursing is an important component of Emergency Medicine and has emerged as a comprehensive applied discipline in the past decade, involving various aspects of the medical field. The rapid development of Emergency Medicine has placed higher demands on the overall quality of nurses. Emergency nursing work requires nurses to be proficient in emergency nursing knowledge and skills, enabling them to provide timely and accurate holistic physical and mental care to patients in emergencies. The improvement of emergency nursing has a significant role in increasing rescue success rates and reducing mortality and disability rates. The purpose of writing this book is to contribute to the standardization and proceduralization of clinical emergency nursing work, thereby improving the quality and efficiency of clinical emergency nursing. With the implementation of holistic nursing models centered on the nursing process in China, nursing education and clinical nursing have undergone corresponding transformations. This book highlights the application of the nursing process in emergency nursing, with assessment, preparation, intervention, and outcome evaluation as the main framework. It integrates the basic steps of the nursing process into every emergency nursing procedure to cultivate learners' ability to solve problems using the thinking and working methods of the nursing process. The book includes 48 clinical common emergency nursing procedures, 7 common emergency operation procedures, and 14 procedures for handling unexpected events in nursing work. Each procedure is introduced in a concise and clear manner with charts and text, supplemented by precautions to ensure simplicity and clarity. This book is highly practical and suitable as a reference for clinical nurses and nursing students learning clinical emergency nursing. It can also serve as a textbook for pre-job training and standardized training for nurses. During the writing process of this book, we received support and guidance from Director Zhang Zhenglü of The Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University and some department directors. We extend our sincere gratitude to them all. Emergency Nursing is a discipline that is both broad and deep, closely related to many clinical disciplines, and there is a vast amount of literature available. Due to the limited level and experience of the authors, this book may inevitably contain omissions or inaccuracies. We kindly request forgiveness and corrections from experts, readers, and colleagues.
