Features: This book is compiled according to the teaching material planning formulated by the National Teaching Guidance Committee for Electrical Engineering and Automation Majors in Higher Education. It is the third revised edition of this textbook. Since the second edition of this book was published in 1993, significant progress has been made in related science and technology. Thyristor-based controllable devices in power electronic converters have been gradually replaced by power switching devices, and the conversion technology has shifted from phase control to pulse width modulation (PWM). Analog electronic controllers have largely been replaced by digital electronic controllers. It has become an undeniable fact that adjustable AC drives have gradually replaced DC drives, and AC drive control technology itself has also made considerable advancements. This book has been comprehensively revised to address these technological developments. In terms of content, the book is divided into two parts: DC Drive Control Systems and AC Drive Control Systems. The writing approach inherits the characteristics of the previous two editions, combining theory with practice. It applies automatic control theory to analyze and design power drive control systems, with control principles as the main thread, progressing from simple to complex and from low to high levels. The book primarily discusses the static and dynamic performance of systems and develops highly practical engineering design methods. This book can be used as a textbook for electrical engineering and automation, electrical engineering and automation, and automation majors in higher education, as well as a reference for relevant engineers and technicians.
