Wondering what are the symptoms of hydrocephalus in children?

Patient's question:

Symptoms of hydrocephalus in children are known. Hello doctor, during the pre-marital examination, there was a finding of a brain tumor risk, with slightly elevated intracranial pressure. Will this affect the baby that has not yet been conceived.

Doctor's answer:

Increased intracranial pressure leads to elevated intracerebral pressure. At the same time, the brain substance becomes thin, the brain flattens, the sulci become shallow, and clinical symptoms appear. Early clinical manifestations of hydrocephalus include an enlarged or rapidly increasing head circumference, protrusion of the anterior fontanelle, separation of the cranial sutures, and dilation of the scalp vessels. Additionally, due to increased pressure in the anterior cranial fossa, the eyes tilt downward and outward, exposing the upper sclera, making the child's eyes resemble a "sunset." The child may also lack energy, be lethargic or irritable, experience vomiting, frequent convulsions, seizures, and difficulty walking.
