Features: The book you are holding is the Chinese edition of the 5th edition, Volume II of "Core Java". The first edition was published in early 1996, the second edition in late 1996, and the third edition in 1997/1998. The first two editions were single-volume versions, but the second edition was significantly longer than the first, so it was no longer a thin book. When we began developing the third edition, we felt that a single volume was clearly insufficient to cover all the features of the Java platform that programmers need to understand. For this reason, we decided to split the book into two volumes starting from the third edition. In this edition, we again divided it into two volumes. However, we innovatively arranged the content, placing the features of data streams in Volume I and the features of collections in Volume II.
