What should I do if my child is diagnosed with cerebral palsy?

Patient's question:

My child has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, primarily caused by jaundice. He cannot take anything with his hands and cannot speak. He has severe equinus, scissor gait, and high muscle tone. Can NCR be used for regenerative treatment? Contact me, urgently, thank you!

Doctor's answer:

Currently, the cause of cerebral palsy is still unclear. It is generally believed that prenatal factors are the most common, including genetic and chromosomal diseases, congenital infections, brain developmental malformations or dysplasia, fetal brain ischemia and hypoxia leading to periventricular leukomalacia or basal ganglia damage, etc.
Recommendations: Pregnant women with the following conditions should undergo prenatal examinations as early as possible:
1) Older pregnant women (35 years of age or older) or male partners over 50 years old;
2) Consanguineous marriage (marriage between close relatives);
3) A history of unexplained miscarriage, preterm birth, stillbirth, or neonatal death;
4) Intellectual disability in the pregnant woman or a history of epilepsy, cerebral palsy, or other genetic conditions in either parent or their close relatives.
If fetal abnormalities are detected in the early stages of pregnancy, pregnancy should be terminated as soon as possible.
