How should you choose to relieve?

Patient's question:

Hello! I noticed patches on my glans with different colors, and there's a white substance around the edge of the glans that won't come off. Is this a sign of balanitis? If it is balanitis, could you please advise on how to choose a treatment that might help improve the condition?

Doctor's answer:

If there is a positive ureaplasma test, it is mainly manifested as symptoms such as continuous increase in urethral discharge, frequent urination, dysuria/penile redness, and a burning sensation. If these symptoms are not present, it proves that the ureaplasma infection has been controlled. If there are blisters on the foreskin in the morning, it suggests it is still related to phimosis, leading to balanitis and balanoposthitis. Consider undergoing a circumcision to prevent recurrent inflammation in the future. Please confirm that there are no symptoms of ureaplasma infection mentioned above so that we can clearly diagnose the condition. Balanitis can be stabilized, but the treatment period is generally long, and it is prone to recurrence after treatment. Therefore, medication must be used symptomatically during treatment. Additionally, the patient should maintain a light diet, avoid spicy foods, and not smoke or drink beer. We hope that male patients can recover as soon as possible!
