Where can orchitis be treated well?

Patient's question:

I feel like I might have epididymitis. I noticed that the skin on my testicles is particularly red, and it seems a bit swollen. It also hurts when I touch it. These symptoms have persisted for a week without any improvement. I'm still young and haven't even been married yet. I'm really scared. Where can I get epididymitis treated well?

Doctor's answer:

Some patients may experience symptoms such as fatigue, chills, loss of appetite, low-grade fever, and headaches. Subsequently, one or both parotid glands may become swollen again, reaching their peak within 2-3 days. The face may deform due to swelling on one or both sides, accompanied by localized pain, sensitivity, and significant pain when opening the mouth or chewing. The pain intensifies when consuming acidic foods, often affecting the submandibular glands, sublingual glands, and cervical lymph nodes.
Post-inflammatory sequelae of orchitis primarily affect one testicle, with a bilateral orchitis rate of 16-30%. One-third to one-half of patients may develop varying degrees of testicular atrophy within 1 week or several months after the onset of the disease. Parotitis virus orchitis can lead to a certain degree of infertility, with an incidence rate of approximately 1/10.
