Features: This book is a supplementary textbook for Computer English (Student Book). It includes grammar notes, reference translations, explanations of difficult sentences in reading materials, and answers to exercise questions for each chapter of the student book, serving as a reference for teachers during instruction and for self-learners. This book is suitable as a reference for computer science, information management and information systems, and other related majors at vocational, technical, and undergraduate levels in computer professional English courses. It also provides some help for professionals working in computer-related fields to improve their reading ability in foreign literature on computer science. This book is a supplementary textbook for Computer English (Student Book). The content of the student book covers a wide range, with each chapter being substantial. Most of the materials are selected from original textbooks and articles from internationally renowned universities and professional magazines in computer science and technology and information science and technology, covering topics such as computer hardware, software, networks and communications, and computer applications. It is recommended that teachers adjust the content based on actual teaching requirements and students' specific situations. For example, for computer application and information management and information systems majors, it is suggested to teach all the content of Part 5, while for non-computer majors, Part 5 can be used as extensive reading material. The teacher's book includes grammar notes (LanguagePoints), reference translations (ChineseVersion), annotations to reading materials (NotestoReadingMaterials), and answers to exercise questions (KeytoExercises) (Note: The numbers [1] in the grammar notes and annotations to reading materials correspond to the corresponding markings in the main text of the student book). For computer science and related majors, mastering the techniques of fast reading in computer English is a key issue. For example, how to correct poor reading habits (word-by-word reading, excessive reliance on dictionaries, unnecessary grammatical analysis, redundant translation, silent reading, etc.), how to make full use of vision, how to guess the meaning of unfamiliar words, how to grasp the main idea of paragraphs, how to skim the entire text, and how to consult materials. However, due to space limitations, this book does not provide detailed introductions on these topics. It is hoped that teachers can integrate fast reading techniques into classroom teaching based on the materials in this book. This book is edited by Jiang Tongqiang. The contributors include Wang Wen, Kong Fanhang, Zhao Shouxiang, Yang Bing, Luo Daihong, and Lai Hua provided explanations for the grammar in each chapter, while Wang Zhenling reviewed and proofread the entire book. Due to the authors' limited expertise and the urgency of time, we sincerely welcome readers to point out any errors in this book.
