Features: This book is divided into five parts. Parts 4 and 5 contain twelve sets of simulated writing tests, with six sets classified as Type A and six as Type G. The purpose of these two parts is to help candidates understand the format and general content of the tests, as well as to allow them to conduct a self-assessment at the beginning of using this textbook. This helps identify their strengths and weaknesses, enabling them to address and improve these areas during subsequent study. It also allows for an evaluation of their progress upon completing the textbook. Part 4 consists of language diagnostic tests, comprising three sets of tests on spelling, grammar, and sentence structure. Part 5 focuses on common writing techniques, emphasizing seven frequently appearing writing methods in the IELTS exam: narrative writing, comparison and contrast, cause and effect, description, argumentative writing, report writing, and letter writing. Part 6 covers test-taking skills, divided into six lessons: understanding the prompt, outlining, writing the introduction, writing the body, writing the conclusion, and reviewing the writing. After Part 5, there are answers and model essays for some exercises. Most of the writing tests in the simulated tests provide two to three model essays to demonstrate how the same topic can be approached from different perspectives.
