Varicocele patients should avoid what foods?

Patient's question:

I have had varicocele for many years. Actually, it hasn't caused much discomfort, and since I already have children, I haven't paid much attention to it. However, recently the pain has been getting worse, sometimes even keeping me awake at night. It has seriously affected my normal life and work, and I am very troubled.
Please ask: What foods should varicocele patients avoid?

Doctor's answer:

Hello! Varicocele can cause a sense of heaviness and discomfort in the scrotum, testicles, and groin area. The symptoms may become more pronounced after prolonged standing or after drinking alcohol. For varicocele, a color Doppler ultrasound examination can confirm the degree and type of varicocele. A subclinical diagnosis (with one vein diameter greater than or equal to 1.8mm and a positive Varicocele Test) can be treated with symptomatic oral medication, calcium dobesilate capsules, compression elastic stockings, and avoiding prolonged standing. A clinical diagnosis (with one vein diameter less than 2mm and a positive Varicocele Test) generally requires surgical treatment. Surgical options include laparoscopic high ligation of the varicocele or traditional high ligation of the varicocele.
