Features: This book is written for candidates preparing for the postgraduate entrance examination, serving as a comprehensive review guide for mathematics. It is suitable for all four types of math papers (Math I to Math IV), covering content such as Advanced Mathematics (Calculus), Linear Algebra, and Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics. The question types include fill-in-the-blank and multiple-choice.
Since its publication in July last year, the book has been reprinted three times. The biggest change in this edition is the division into separate volumes for science and engineering, as well as economics (both contain 660 questions), making the questions more abundant and closer to the requirements of the exam syllabus for foundational knowledge, concepts, and methods, thereby improving candidates' effective utilization of the material. In addition to adding, replacing, and creating new questions, some questions have been supplemented with new solutions. For parts that students may find difficult to understand or pay less attention to, more explanatory notes have been added in the annotations.
The structure of the 2004 paper was changed to: 8 multiple-choice questions, 6 fill-in-the-blank questions, and 9 problem-solving questions, with the multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank sections accounting for 56 points and the problem-solving section for 94 points.
The nature of the postgraduate entrance examination is a "selection-oriented proficiency test." While emphasizing selection and ability assessment, it does not mean weakening the requirements for foundational knowledge and basic theories. "Assessing candidates' mastery of foundational knowledge is one of the key objectives of the math exam. To thoroughly review each knowledge block, it is recommended that students combine the corresponding knowledge points in the fill-in-the-blank and multiple-choice sections for review.
