Features: The "Examination Syllabus" clearly defines the scope, methods, and requirements of the examination, serving as the fundamental basis for test question development and candidate preparation. From the perspective of educational measurement, the preliminary examination for the Unified Entrance Examination for Master's Degree Programs is a norm-referenced test, with strong selective properties. The development of the "Examination Syllabus" must consider both the requirements of the state for selecting high-level talents and the undergraduate teaching and learning conditions of universities. Therefore, the newly added "Examination Syllabus" for unified examination major foundations was developed based on thorough research and deliberation, taking into account university undergraduate teaching plans. It follows the principle of examining general knowledge, foundational, core courses, and teaching content, with a focus on assessing the professional foundational knowledge, basic theories, and corresponding abilities required for graduate-level study.
After repeated research and discussion by experts, it was determined that the "Foundational Knowledge of History" should cover Ancient Chinese History, Modern Chinese History, Ancient World History, and Modern World History; the "Foundational Knowledge of Education" should include Principles of Education, Chinese and Foreign Educational History, Educational Psychology, and Educational Research Methods; and the "Foundational Knowledge of Psychology" should encompass General Psychology, Developmental and Educational Psychology, Experimental Psychology, and Psychological Statistics and Measurement.
In line with the reform requirements, the scope of assessment for "Western Medicine Comprehensive" and "Traditional Chinese Medicine Comprehensive" was also expanded. The "Traditional Chinese Medicine Comprehensive" now covers Basic Theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine Diagnosis, Chinese Materia Medica, Formulas, Internal Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Acupuncture and Moxibustion (with Acupuncture and Moxibustion being newly added content). The "Western Medicine Comprehensive" covers Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Internal Medicine (including Diagnostics), and Surgery, with Diagnostics added to Internal Medicine.
