Features: This book is designed for undergraduate basic teaching in Persian language at universities, specifically for first and second-year students. It is divided into two volumes for convenience. Each volume is further divided into upper and lower parts. The compilation of this book is part of the curriculum development efforts of the Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at Peking University. The entire book covers the basic phonetics, grammar (including writing), and vocabulary of modern Persian. The total vocabulary used throughout the teaching stages amounts to approximately 3,000 words. This book is based on the previous Persian language textbooks used in the department over the years. Additionally, it incorporates new materials from Persian language textbooks both domestically and internationally. The texts after the phonetics section are primarily selected from Iranian elementary and secondary school textbooks. Each lesson is accompanied by a sufficient number of exercises and supplementary reading materials.
