How to Treat Symptoms of Prostate Abscess

Patient's question:

Since the beginning of the year, I've been feeling like I have a lot of nocturia and also frequent urination during the day. When I urinate, there's a stinging sensation, and the amount of urine is not much. I also always feel like I haven't fully emptied my bladder. My lower back, waist, and abdomen are also in severe pain. I suspect it might be a prostatitis abscess. Please ask: How is the treatment for prostatitis abscess symptoms?

Doctor's answer:

Please go to a regular hospital's urology department to have a routine test of prostatic fluid first to confirm whether there is significant prostatitis. If the inflammation is significant, it can be inferred that your current symptoms are caused by inflammation, so treating prostatitis will be sufficient. Small cysts can be temporarily left alone, but it is necessary to follow up with regular ultrasound examinations (every 3-6 months) to monitor their condition. If the inflammation is not significant or the anti-inflammatory treatment is not effective, then consider that the frequent urination symptoms are indeed caused by the cysts. In that case, cyst-targeted treatments can be used. Currently, there are many treatment methods available for this. Generally, surgical treatment can be used for larger cysts or symptomatic small cysts, and prostate can be cured.
