Features: The sixth edition of Pharmacology was revised according to the principles and opinions of the sixth round of planning textbooks by the National Health Commission's Clinical Medical Professional Textbook Review Committee. Based on the fifth edition, this version has been updated and supplemented in light of recent advances in pharmacology both domestically and internationally. During the writing process, it is grounded in fundamental knowledge and theories of pharmacology, emphasizing the three basic elements of teaching materials (basic theories, basic knowledge, and basic skills), the five qualities (ideological nature, scientific nature, advanced nature, inspirational nature, and applicability), and the three specific requirements (specific target audience, specific demands, and specific limitations). The content of this book focuses on covering the requirements of the National Medical Examination for Clinical Physicians and meeting the needs of postgraduate entrance examinations. In line with the development of pharmacology and current clinical practice, this revision has added and adjusted the chapter arrangement, including new chapters such as Ion Channel Pharmacology, Pharmacology of the Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System, Introduction to Central Nervous System Pharmacology, Pharmacology for Antidementive Diseases of the Central Nervous System, Drugs Affecting Autonomic Active Substances, Antiretroviral Drugs, Genetically Engineered Drugs and Their Therapy, etc. Antiparasitic drugs are now covered in a single chapter, and the chapter on antiparasitic drugs has been moved before the chapter on cardiovascular disease drugs to facilitate learning.
