Features: This book primarily focuses on fractal graphics as the research object, introducing methods for constructing parallel/distributed systems. The content of the book is the result of research in parallel computing and distributed systems conducted by the Parallel/Distributed Processing Laboratory of Yanshan University in recent years. The main purpose is to provide a practical reference book for researchers in parallel computing and distributed systems in China. The first half of the book discusses the classification, characteristics, computational complexity of fractal graphics, and the necessity of generating and processing fractal graphics using parallel environments. The second half introduces the compilation implementation of parallel platforms, distributed computing processing, and the generation and output of graphics in two parallel programming environments, PVM and MPI. The book also provides some typical design examples and performance and parallel parameter analysis during example generation. The book consists of twelve chapters, including distributed fractal processing basics, an introduction to the development environment, fractal language design, software design, system implementation, and fractal graphics rendering.
