Features: After World War II, Western economists gradually divided political economy (theoretical economics) into two main parts: microeconomics and macroeconomics. Microeconomics focuses on the behavior of individual economic entities. This book is the microeconomics part of our press's Modern Western Economics, consisting of five sections with a total of eighteen chapters, including basic economic concepts, consumer demand theory, supply theory, the determination of market and price, and the theory of factor prices and income distribution. The third edition has been meticulously proofread in terms of language and scientific accuracy by Professor Xu Qiang, a visiting scholar at the State University of New York in the United States. Additionally, based on the new developments in Western economics, new content has been added, including Section 3 of Chapter 16, "Two Theorems of Welfare Economics," and Chapter 16, "Decision Making and Game Theory."
