Patient's question:
I don't have a girlfriend, and I don't have any bad sexual habits, but I recently noticed that there is always white discharge coming from my urethral opening, and it feels itchy and painful when I urinate. I think it might be caused by prostatitis. Could you please recommend some good hospitals for treating prostatitis abscess?Doctor's answer:
① Ampicillin: 4–6 grams/day, intravenous infusion.② : 2–4 grams/day, intravenous infusion.
③ Solution: 0.4 grams/each time, oral administration three times daily, or 250 milliliters, intravenous infusion twice daily.
④ Clindamycin: 600 milligrams/each time, intravenous infusion two to three times daily, suitable for prostatic abscess caused by anaerobic bacteria.
II. Physical Therapy.
Prostatic abscess can be treated with local heat therapy. Simple and common methods include paraffin therapy or applying a hot water bag to the lower abdomen and perineum for cold compress, which enhances local blood circulation, promotes the confinement of abscess, and reduces inflammation. However, burns should be prevented.
III. Surgical Treatment.
Generally, prostatic abscess is treated with perineal prostatic aspiration and drainage. At the same time, antibiotics are administered into the abscess cavity. If the abscess significantly reduces and cannot be drained spontaneously into the urethra or rupture into the urethra, surgical drainage of the abscess is performed.
