How far is forever?

Author: Fei Ning

Publish Date: 2000-01-01
Features: Fei Ning's How Far Is Eternity includes twelve short and medium-length stories, including "How Far Is Eternity," "Andrey's Night," and "The Twelfth Night." When asked why she named the book How Far Is Eternity, Fei Ning said: On one hand, I love this short story; on the other hand, I also love this kind of inquiry with no resolution. There is no word whose connotation is more uncertain than "eternity," and no word seems more slippery and changeable than "eternity." The story of Fei Ning's "cousin," Bai Daseng, is the story of those "happy, talkative, and a bit scatterbrained girls" in Beijing's hutongs.
