What are the symptoms of orchitis?

Patient's question:

Suffering from orchitis, currently experiencing pain in the inner thigh, and the quality of life is getting worse day by day. What are the symptoms of orchitis?

Doctor's answer:

The clinical diagnostic symptoms of orchitis can be divided into two types: acute and chronic. The manifestations are as follows:
1. Acute Orchitis: Often caused by urinary tract infections, prostatitis and seminal vesiculitis, and other secondary nerve-related issues or prostatectomy. The main symptoms include: sudden onset, high fever, chills, pain in the affected scrotum, tightness and redness of the skin, swelling, urgency and frequency of urination, significant tenderness, and secondary nerve sheath effusion.
2. Chronic Orchitis: The testicles gradually swell and form a mass, with mild pain or no pain. The scrotum remains without redness or heat. It often takes several months to 1–2 years to form an abscess, which may ooze thin pus after rupture. Sometimes, it can form a fistula, which is persistent and difficult to heal.
