How to treat common epididymitis well

Patient's question:

Left testicle has been aching and swollen recently, with a sense of heaviness. Could it be epididymitis? How should common epididymitis be treated?

Doctor's answer:

The common symptoms of epididymitis include scrotal swelling and pain, which can even radiate to the lower abdomen and groin, causing discomfort. When touched, there may be lumps or hard masses. During acute recurrence, due to bacterial infection, the whole body feels uncomfortable, and high fever may reappear. One-sided scrotal heaviness and swelling, with severe pain, are highly sensitive to touch, and touching them causes even more pain, which can also radiate to the waist and the same side of the groin. Upon close examination, the scrotum is noticeably swollen, and its volume can decrease by half within a few hours, with the skin appearing particularly red.
