Features: In the northern frontier of China, also known as my hometown, the Daxing'anling Mountains, lives a group of Evenki people who make a living by raising reindeer. They live in "soro" (traditional Evenki dwellings) where they can see stars at night, eat meat from animals, and wear animal hides. Where the reindeer go to for food, they follow. During the long winter, they have to move every three or four days, while in summer, they stay in one camp for no more than half a month. Every ridge of the mountains there bears the footprints of both them and the reindeer.
